John Freedson, has been associated with Forbidden Broadway for over fifteen years as producer, director, and originally, as a performer in the Boston and New York companies. In addition to the three most recent New York editions of this show, he produced Forbidden Hollywood in New York and Los Angeles and Forbidden Broadway in L.A., San Diego, Detroit, Denver, London, and Tokyo. He directed Forbidden Broadway for three national tours and in Sydney, Australia, and received a Joseph Jefferson Award as Best Director for the Chicago production of Forbidden Hollywood. His voice can be heard on three Forbidden Broadway CDs, and Disney's Aladdin. Originally from Reading, PA, Mr. Freedson attended the Boston Conservatory and is a graduate of Brandeis University. In addition to Forbidden Broadway, he produced Gerard Alessandrini's updated version of Irving Berlin's 1962 musical Mr. President, and the current tour of I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change.
